DESCRIPTION
Mechanism
- Core Mechanism GI-301
-
Hypersensitivity reaction
When the immune system is exposed to foreign antigens, IgE and autoantibody (anti-FcεR1α) are expressed.
These antibodies can bind to FcεR1α of mast cells, activating the cells.
Activated mast cells release histamine, increasing blood histamine levels causing hypersensitivity reaction. -
Dual action of GI-301
GI-301 has two functional groups that can each bind to IgE and autoantibody (anti-FcεR1α) with high affinity, inhibiting the activation of mast cells.
Mast cell deactivation decreases the histamine concentration in the blood, alleviating hypersensitivity reaction.
